Oh I’ve been an absent poster….

But its because we’ve been so busy! We went away for a few days and I took TONS of photos. I was so proud of myself! But its taken me a while to get them downloaded and put together.

Wanted to share these ones from the petting zoo. Mr. B was so much more brave with the animals this year. He held his little hand out to a goat, who so politely licked up the offering. And then… B erupted into giggles. The good kind where he covers his mouth and his body shakes a little. I was so in love. Cant wait for the pumpkin patch this year!

More to come soon!

Project 52: Week 22 – High Key

I did IT! Haha. I kind of thought this was going to be another week I would procrastinate on and become weeks behind. This morning I was tending to my flowers (all four of them), and clipped off an old bloom. Then it clicked and I got my camera and a white piece of paper. Here is the tutorial if you need it, for High Key. I didn’t go that big of an effort, but the new week starts today!

This is another one. It’s not edited, but I like the dreamy out of focus look to it.

This week: Low Key.

Tokens and Tickets.

Last week we had a lot of visitors. My sister and her husband were here and they wanted to take the kids somewhere fun, so we went to the local play place. Even I love the whole tokens and tickets concept. And trading in the hundreds of tickets for one tiny, cheaply made item. You agonize over the decision. Which is the very best choice? Turns out B is the same. He hems and haws like he’s choosing for the very last time. Like his momma.

Taking the lead from Auntie.

The toddler games:

This machine was lucrative to him.

I just missed the moment on this one. His hands were placed perfectly on the globe but the game ended before I got the shot.

Learning to drive. Already.

Skinny Feet.

I already talked about this, so I won’t harp on it. He grew up this year. I love his age right now. Endless, and I mean endless questions. Why, how, when, WHY? His vocabulary keeps exploding and he comes up with different ways to explain things so we’ll understand his new words and sounds. He adds actions. He sings, he dances, he has his own funny ideas.
But… his body is grown up and I’ll miss the baby bits. Here are the bits now.

I took these while he was trying to enjoy a snack on the couch. The hand was him saying “No more pictures!!”.

Project 52: A Weekly Photography Challenge

In January I started a Project 52 on a photography forum I’m on. Each week has a theme, and you are to capture an image around that theme. (Or not, if you’re really rocking something else that week) The purpose is to get you shooting more regularly, to inspire creativity and to get you out of your ‘box’. (I’m not sure I had a box to begin with.)
So we’re on week 8. Which I haven’t done yet. I just thought I’d catch you up with the last 7 weeks. I’m definitely happier with some more than others.

Week 1: You: A Self Portrait

Week 2:House on Fire (what would you grab?)

Week 3: Your favourite

Week 4: Your town. (I hate this one. It was cold and rainy and I never got out to where I wanted to go. This is a cop out. Its a shed that was across the street from a date E and I had.

Week 5: Candid Image

Week 6: Side Light (This begins the month on light, which has been kicking my tush!)

Week 7: Backlight

This week is low light. Ugh. Not my (or my camera’s) forte. We shall see what we cook up. 🙂
